This is a wood serving tray painted and then the Coveralls was added.  it was a gift for a friend who had their first Granddaughter.

Coveralls is a instant professional finish for wood and other solid surfaces, using a sponge and water to apply. Instantly cover a rich, thick satin gloss finish from a water slide sheet to your project. Coveralls can be used to cover an entire surface or to create accent shapes to apply to that surface.

You can cover raw wood, painted wood or finished wood with equal ease. Coveralls will not rip or tear when working around corners or edges. You’ve got the neatness, ease and reposition And you’ve got a material that doesn’t crack or chip. Works perfectly with decorative edge scissors and craft punches and molds easily to the application surface. Coveralls designs come in Faux Finishes, Fun Finishes and Fine Art Images.

Tips and Techniques for Using Coveralls

How to apply.

1. Using the guidelines and rulers on the back of the Coveralls sheet, cut out the shape you desire.

2. Remove the clear protective covering from the piece and you are ready to apply. This will expose the adhesive.

Don’t worry! The design looks ‘cloudy' for a reason....when applied it will look just like the designer reference sheet included in the package.

3. Carefully position the transfer on the surface with the adhesive side down. Smooth into place.

4. Now gently wipe the exposed paper backing with a damp sponge. Not too little water and not too much. You want to see the paper absorb the water and turn a darker shade. Pay close attention to the corners of the transfer. Moistening them thoroughly is a key to a quick and easy release.

TIPS:

Fill a coffee mug 1/8 full with clean water and stand the damp sponge in the cup. This allows the sponge to absorb water at a steady rate. Moisten your fingertips when you need to apply a drop to a corner.

Relax for a moment and give your transfer time to release itself from its carrier sheet ( paper backing) and bond to its new surface.

Now you will be able to slide/lift the carrier sheet and remove it. Use the damp sponge to smooth down the transfer as you go.

Once your design is perfectly in place you can remove any air bubbles with the prick of a pin.

If you are going to cover additional areas of your project- or create an overlay design - wipe away any water with a paper towel before applying another section of transfer.

Let project cure for 48 hours for a good durable bond.

You can apply a finish over the cured transfer if you wish. I love the effect of a coat of Envirotex Clear Coating to give a glass looking finish.
